The Fulton County Library System’s 2024 county-wide book club, One Book, One Read, achieved remarkable success this summer! The initiative brought together 44 book clubs across Fulton County, who engaged in reading and discussing the New York Times Best Seller and The Read With Jenna Today Show Book Club Pick, The Measure by Nikki Erlick.
The excitement culminated on Saturday, August 10, with a highly anticipated event that attracted over 400 attendees. The gathering featured an in-depth discussion with author Nikki Erlick, moderated by Monica Kaufman Pearson. Throughout the event, attendees were treated to Nikki Erlick’s personal insights into her writing journey, offering a candid perspective on the creative process behind The Measure. The discussion delved into the novel’s rich narrative and the significant choices faced by its characters.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Monica Kaufman Pearson for her exceptional moderation and for enhancing the discussion with her thought-provoking questions. Our thanks also go to WABE for their invaluable media support, which helped make this event a success.

“I would like it to be a story about how the kind of things that unite all of us as humans are so much greater and deeper than the things that divide us.“ Nikki Erlick, author of The Measure
