New board member spotlight: Jacqueline Edwards

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation welcomes Jacqueline Edwards to our Board of Directors.

Jacqueline Edwards is the Executive Director at the Center for New Data, where she leads a team of technologists committed to unlocking insights from data to build a stronger democracy for all. New Data’s work helps voting rights advocates address problems like long lines at the ballot box and disparities in voting access.

As a digital technologist and social entrepreneur, Jacqueline has 15+ years experience building partnerships, teams, and products that advance equity. As a proven collaborator and systems thinker, she loves to work with others to solve complex problems. Previously, Jacqueline served as Interim CEO and COO at Medic, where she helped guide the organization since 2014, co-authoring strategy and incubating and launching Medic’s open source project, the Community Health Toolkit. The Community Health Toolkit is a global health solution that supports more than 100,000 health workers to deliver care in 15 countries across Africa and Asia.

Jacqueline holds a MSc in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BAH in Contemporary Studies and International Development from the University of King’s College.

Jacqueline is active in her community as the Co-Chair of the Board at Access Reproductive Care Southeast and as a member of her neighborhood book club and run club. She is also a parent to three young kids, Jordan, Louise, and Estelle. They spend as much time as they can outside and especially love visiting their family at the beaches of Big Tancook Island in Nova Scotia and Saint Simons Island in Georgia.
